Dr. Rita F. Davis is a writer and storyteller dedicated to helping people see possibility in their own lives. Dr. Davis earned her doctorate in Management and Leadership from Capella University, where her research focused on the characteristics of successful female transformational leaders. She is deeply passionate about understanding how leadership and management roles shape an organization’s human character, particularly in relation to the growth and advancement of women’s careers.
Over the course of her 32-year career, Dr. Davis has led teams at every organizational level. Her experience includes key leadership roles such as Finance Director, Partner, and Accounting Manager, as well as a variety of tactical middle-management positions. She has taught management and accounting courses at local colleges and universities, conducted numerous professional training programs, strengthened existing initiatives, and developed new programs for Special Olympics Maryland. She is a retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Dr. Davis skillfully integrates theory with real-world application. Her diverse professional background spans academia, sports management, finance, the airline industry, and the mental health sector, allowing her to bring a rich, practical, and interdisciplinary perspective to her work.
